London!
The Best Time to Travel is…in the spring, in the fall, or during a recession!
Two out of three ain’t bad!
Looking at the travel deals flying around this spring, I just couldn’t resist doing something spontaneous. In 10 hours or so, I’m headed off to London on the plush Emirates airlines from Beijing for a shade over $500 USD.
Dubai, I’m sorry that you’re going through such tough economic times and facing a deluge of abandoned cars, but thank you so much for the cheap airfare.
And I’m flying Dubai –> Heathrow on the new Airbus A380!! One of 13 right now in service!
It’s a short trip, only a week, and my planning has been a bit rushed. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it until after certain things were booked. Here’s my schedule.
| March 31: | Depart from Beijing @ midnight. |
| April 1st: | Arrive London. Hang out with Kal. |
| April 2nd: | London! Pubquiz with Sarah. |
| April 3rd: | Drive out to the Cotswolds, overnight. |
| April 4th: | Back to London before 6p (need to return car). |
| April 5th: | Hang out with Sarah in AM, take 16:50 flight to Geneva. |
| April 6th: | Hang out in Geneva. |
| April 7th: | Depart for Beijing. |
| April 8th: | Arrive Beijing. |
It’s a little insane. I once did a bionic tour through Italy that was only slightly more crazy than this and promised myself I’d never do it again. We’ll see how it works out. I’m certainly looking forward to driving on the left side of the road!!
Oh, and as far as spring travels go, I’m not the only one…
- Mihae – Peru
- Dave – Beijing (?)
- Sarah – Paris
- Ade – London, Orlando
- Melody – Japan
- Ann – London
